Resources — the broader knowledge base.

Mama's docs cover the product. The resources below cover the practice of outbound itself — terms, templates, playbooks, deep-dive essays, founder reading list, operator essays. All free, no signup.

TL;DR

5 free resource libraries beyond the docs site: Glossary (100 terms + 45 deep-dive essays) · Templates (200 signal-anchored cold-email templates) · Playbooks (54 multi-step sequences) · Founder library (reading list) · Operator essays. All searchable, all linkable, all maintained.

01Glossary · 100 terms

/glossary — 100 outbound terms, plainly defined. 9 categories: metrics, signals, ICP & targeting, frameworks, tools, roles, compliance, pricing, outbound process.

45 of the 100 entries have deep-dive essays (marked with green dot in the glossary). The essays are 500-800 lines each — covering everything from the founding lineage of MEDDIC to the half-life of a funding signal.

Most-cited from the docs: signal-anchored outbound, archetype matching, ICP rubric, Apple MPP, Reply Loop.

02Templates · 200

/templates/library — 200 signal-anchored cold email templates. 8 signal types × multiple roles × 3 tones. Each template includes predicted reply rate, why-it-works analysis, and anti-patterns.

Filterable, copyable, gold-standard ones marked with badges. All pass a 10-rule rubric — every template enforces signal anchoring + persona fit + tone calibration + concrete-not-vague openings.

03Playbooks · 54

/playbooks — 54 multi-step outbound sequences. 12 categories: signal-motions, cold-email, discovery, sequencing, multi-channel, ABM, reply-loop, ICP-tuning, CRM-hygiene, pipeline, onboarding, AE-plays.

Each playbook = cadence steps + template links + glossary cross-links + anti-patterns. The deeper structure for "what to do when [scenario]."

04Founder library

/library — the reading list that shaped Mama. Books, essays, papers, talks. Not affiliate-linked. Mostly outside the SaaS canon — the more interesting influences are from systems thinking, intelligence analysis, and information theory.

05Operator essays

/operators — guest essays from practitioners (VPs of Sales, RevOps leads, founders) on their actual outbound motion. Not promotional. Specific. Usually long.

Updated monthly. If you have an essay worth publishing, email [email protected].

06How to use these resources

Reading all 45 deep-dive essays sequentially
They're not a course. Pick the ones that match your current question. The essays are designed to stand alone — start where the question is.
Using templates verbatim without adaptation
Templates are starting points. They embody the right shape (signal anchoring, brevity, ask) but should be adapted to your voice + the specific prospect.
Treating playbooks as scripts
Playbooks are sequence skeletons. Real outbound requires judgment at each step — the playbook tells you the move; you decide how to execute.
