Overview — the screen you start your day on.
The Overview is Mama's daily landing. It surfaces what's new (signals from overnight), what's pending (accounts you saved but haven't briefed), and what's next (the top 5 recommended to brief today). If you only open one Mama screen per day, open this one.
TL;DR
Five blocks, in this order: Today's new signals → Recommended next 5 → Recent briefs → Saved-search alerts → Workspace activity. Each block is a card with a single primary action. Designed to take ~5 minutes to scan, which is the daily ritual Mama is built around.
01The 5-block layout
The Overview is intentionally simple. Five blocks, stacked. No tabs, no deep nav. The whole screen should be scannable in under 2 minutes and actionable in 5.
| Block | What it shows | Primary action |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · Today's new signals | Signals detected overnight on your saved accounts + ICP-matched cold accounts | Brief an account |
| 2 · Recommended next 5 | Top-scoring accounts you haven't briefed yet | Brief or skip |
| 3 · Recent briefs | Last 5-10 briefs from you or your team | Re-open / push to CRM |
| 4 · Saved-search alerts | New matches against your saved searches | Review / brief |
| 5 · Workspace activity | What teammates have briefed / pushed in the last 24h | Acknowledge / collaborate |
02Today's new signals
The top block. Signals detected on your accounts in the last ~16 hours (overnight + early morning). Grouped by signal type with a count badge per type. Click any group to expand into the full signal cards.
Default sort: Combo signals first (where 2+ signals fired on the same account), then by signal strength, then by ICP score of the account. This means the highest-leverage signals always appear at the top — even on a busy day, the first 30 seconds gives you the best targets.
03Recommended next 5
Five accounts Mama thinks you should brief today. Ranked by a composite of ICP score + signal freshness + archetype match + untouched-ness (accounts your team hasn't recently emailed).
Each card shows: company name, ICP score (out of 100), the strongest active signal, and a one-sentence "why this one" rationale. Two buttons: Brief now · Skip for today. Skip moves it down the queue for ~7 days.
04Recent briefs
The last 5-10 briefs from anyone on your team. Useful for two reasons: (1) you can re-open a brief you read 2 days ago without searching for it, and (2) you can see what teammates are working on without asking.
Each row shows the account name, who briefed it, when, and the brief's status (read / pushed to CRM / shared / archived). Click to re-open.
05Saved-search alerts
New matches against your saved searches. If you have a saved search for "Series B SaaS in NY with new VP Data hire," this block shows accounts that started matching that query in the last 24h.
Saved searches can have email or Slack alert preferences set per-search. The Overview block is the in-app fallback for any search without external alerting.
06Workspace activity
A timeline of what your teammates have done in Mama in the last 24h: briefs generated, pushed to CRM, archetype updates, ICP changes. Useful for awareness without being a notification firehose.
Click a row to jump to the underlying action (e.g., open the brief a teammate just pushed). You can mute teammate types you don't want to track — for example, hide marketing teammate activity if you only care about the sales team.
07The daily Overview ritual
Most-effective users have a 5-minute daily ritual on this screen:
- Scan Today's new signals — anything in the Combo group? Brief immediately.
- Brief one of the Recommended 5 — the top-ranked one usually.
- Check Recent briefs — did anyone on your team brief something you should also be aware of?
- Review Saved-search alerts — any new matches worth briefing?
- Close Mama — and don't open again until you have a specific need.
The ritual works because Mama is built to be a daily 5-minute touch, not a 6-hour-a-day workspace. The Overview is what enables that discipline.
