Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial of the full tier — no credit card required to begin. Solo plans also have a perpetual free tier with 5 briefs per month, forever, so you can keep using Mama even after the trial ends.
Nothing automatic. You won't be charged unless you explicitly add a payment method. If you don't upgrade, Solo accounts revert to the free tier (5 briefs/month). Team accounts pause until you add billing. No "subscription trap" — we don't need to play those games.
Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. No phone calls, no "let's discuss your needs" tactics.
Pay for 12 months up front, save 20% across the board. Solo drops to $39/month equivalent ($468/year), Team to $159/month ($1,908/year), Pro to $479/month ($5,748/year). You can switch from monthly to annual at any time — we'll prorate the difference.
All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, and Google Pay for Solo and Team. Pro plans also support ACH bank transfer and wire transfer (US, EU, UK). Invoiced billing available on Pro by request.
Yes — early-stage startups (sub-$2M ARR) get 50% off Team for the first year. Registered non-profits get 30% off any plan, indefinitely. Email [email protected] with proof and we'll set it up.
If Mama isn't working out, email us within 30 days of your first charge and we'll refund in full — no questions, no exit interview. After 30 days, we don't pro-rate refunds on monthly plans, but you can cancel any time and you won't be charged again. Annual plans get a pro-rated refund any time.
Briefs and seats are soft limits. If you blow past 100 briefs on Solo, we'll send a nudge to upgrade, not a hard cutoff — you can keep running briefs for the rest of the month. If you keep going, we'll auto-upgrade you with a prorated charge. We'd rather have you using Mama than waiting for next month.
