A week in the life

Your week as a consultancy founder.

Same retainer commitments. Same client deliverables. A different shape of week.

Monday
Run the week's queue across all clients.
Queue 200+ briefs across 6 workspaces. Overnight processing means Tuesday morning every deliverable is ready.
Tuesday
Client check-ins. Signal reports.
Weekly calls with active retainers. Pull the week's signal report per client. No prep — Mama already wrote the report.
Wednesday
Onboard a new client — in an afternoon.
Define their ICP. Brand their white-label PDFs. Set up their workspace. Pro-tier API hooks into their sequencer same day. Two days, not two weeks.
Thursday
Push briefs to each client's sequencer.
Briefs land where the client works — Smartlead, HubSpot, Outreach. Per-client workspace = per-client integration. They don't see your stack.
Friday
QBR prep. Next week's queues.
Pull brief-count, signal-detection, and engagement metrics per client for quarterly reviews. Queue Monday's batches. Close the laptop.
Weekend
You don't work. Mama does.
Queues run automatically. Briefs land in client workspaces. Wake up Monday to a week's worth of deliverables, ready for Tuesday's calls.
1,247 briefs delivered across 6 active clients in ~18 hours of founder time. Pre-Mama equivalent: 80+ hours of analyst work plus your supervision.

The math

Before Mama, with Mama. The consultancy numbers.

The metrics that determine whether a retainer business is worth running — across four dimensions where Mama compounds.

Clients per founder
Before 2–3
With Mama 6–12

No analyst hiring required. Mama is the research team you'd otherwise have to staff.

Briefs delivered / week
Before ~100
With Mama 1,247

Volume scales linearly with workspaces, not headcount. Each new client adds capacity instead of consuming it.

Retainer margin
Before ~35%
With Mama ~65%

No analyst payroll passes through to your margin. Mama's flat fee is the only research cost on the P&L.

New client onboarding
Before 2 weeks
With Mama 2 days

Define ICP, brand the deliverable, start running. The week-long setup that used to be onboarding is now an afternoon.

The universal layer

Mama sits between your ops and each client's stack.

She doesn't replace your project management or your billing. She's the research and writing layer that scales across every retainer — one platform, every client.

Step 1 · Your ops layer

Where you run the consultancy

Project management, client comms, billing, calendars. Stays where it is.

Notion Slack Stripe Calendly
Step 2 · Mama, multiplexed

One platform, every client

Per-client workspaces. Per-client ICPs. Per-client brand. Per-client billing pass-through.

Signal Mama
Step 3 · Each client's stack

Where briefs land for each client

Push to their sequencer, their CRM. Or hand off branded PDF deliverables.

Smartlead HubSpot Outreach Salesforce Branded PDFs

Each client has their own ICP, their own brand, their own sequencer. Mama is the only platform you keep constant across every engagement. Per-client workspaces handle the multiplexing — you handle the relationships.

Consultancy questions

What every consultancy founder asks before signing up.

Specifically about running a multi-client retainer practice on Mama. Pricing detail lives on the pricing page; brief mechanics live on the product page.

Yes — Pro tier supports per-workspace usage tracking with separate billing exports. Each workspace generates its own monthly usage CSV: briefs run, API calls, signal detections, last-active date. Drop the CSV into your billing tool, mark up 2–3× per your retainer pricing, pass through to the client invoice. Most consultancies treat Mama as a flat-cost line item that gets re-billed.
On Pro, every brief exports as a branded PDF with your client's logo, colors, and domain in the header. Unique branding per workspace — Acme's briefs use Acme's brand, Beta's use Beta's. Your clients never see Signal Mama branding unless you choose to credit us. The shareable web links use a custom domain on Pro (e.g., briefs.youragency.com).
Workspace transfer is included on Pro. The client gets a transferred workspace at Team or Pro pricing (their choice), keeps the brief history, and you're disconnected from billing on that workspace. We've designed this for the natural lifecycle of a consultancy engagement — sometimes clients graduate to running outbound in-house, and we'd rather make that transition clean than fight it.
Yes — Pro tier supports per-workspace API keys, so each client's integration into their own sequencer or CRM is isolated. Acme's API key only sees Acme's briefs; Beta's only sees Beta's. You can also use a master API key for ops automation across workspaces (e.g., a Notion sync that mirrors all client brief activity into your internal dashboard).
Yes — 20% recurring revenue share for any client you refer who signs up on Pro themselves. Plus discounted Pro pricing if you're running 10+ active client workspaces. We also work with consultancy networks on custom enterprise contracts. Email [email protected] — these conversations happen over email, not a form.
Yes — Pro dashboard shows briefs per workspace, API calls per client, last-active dates, and signal-detection counts per ICP. Export the per-client usage report monthly for invoicing. Most consultancies use this for both billing transparency (showing the client what they paid for) and renewal conversations (showing them the volume of value delivered).
That's the whole architecture. Each workspace has its own ICP rubric — company size, industry, geography, tech stack patterns, signal weights. Briefs score against that workspace's rubric. Acme's "ICP fit 92" is Acme-specific, not a global score. You can have 12 different ICPs running simultaneously if that's what your client portfolio looks like, and each ICP is independent — changing one doesn't affect the others.
