What we sync between Mama and Okta.

The honest breakdown of what works today, what's partial, and what we deliberately don't ship. Capabilities marked Partial are Pro-plan only or in beta.

SAML SSO Yes
Standard SAML 2.0 — works with Okta's app catalog entry.
SCIM provisioning Yes
Lifecycle management for Mama users via Okta.
Group-based role mapping Yes
Okta groups map to Mama roles (Admin, Member, Read-only).
Push to Mama from Okta workflows Partial
Coming in Q3 — webhooks available now via the Okta Workflows beta.

~5 minutes via Okta admin from clicking "Connect" to first scoring run.

Standard OAuth 2.0 install. No engineering work, no procurement call for the standard tiers.

  1. Sign in to Mama and open Settings → Integrations → Okta.
  2. Click Connect. The OAuth window opens — sign in to Okta and grant the requested scopes.
  3. Map your Mama workspaces to the right Okta objects (Accounts/Organizations/etc).
  4. First sync runs immediately — usually completes in under 5 minutes for accounts ≤10k.
  5. Done. Briefs surface inside Okta on the next scoring run, typically the morning after install.
Security note. Mama requests the minimum scopes needed for the capabilities above — no contact-export, no bulk-download of historical data. Read the security details or the data sources page for the full provenance trail.

Mama plugs into the rest of the stack the same way.

One OAuth click, capabilities documented honestly, no surprises in production.

Signal-anchored outbound, no theater

Connect your Okta and see every account scored by tomorrow morning.

Free up to 100 accounts. No card. OAuth install in under 5 minutes. Cancel anything later from Settings → Integrations.
