Briefs push into Outreach sequence steps. Signals pause stale cadences.

OAuth in 90 seconds. Mama detects signals on every prospect in your Outreach, drafts a brief per account, and pushes the brief URL + draft opener into your sequence steps as merge variables. When a strong signal fires mid-cadence, Mama can auto-pause the sequence and route to a 1:1 hand-written touch.

What Mama pushes into Outreach

Three writes, all into the sequencer surface.

No new objects, no Galaxy app store install, no Apex-equivalent. Mama writes to two Account tags and a set of merge variables that render directly in your email sequence steps. Reps see the brief link and draft opener exactly where they already work — the next sequence step waiting for their review.

Mama Brief — as a merge variable
Brief URL + draft opener available in every Outreach email step as merge variables. Reps see the brief inline when they review the step; one click into the full brief. Brief structure here.

Mama Score — as an Account tag
Score tier (high / mid / low) tagged on the Outreach Account, refreshed every 6 hours. Use as a sequence entry rule: only enroll Accounts at "high" tier. Stops you from auto-spamming the bottom 60% of your CRM.

Signal-triggered sequence exits
When a high-strength signal fires on a prospect mid-cadence, Mama pings Outreach via webhook to pause the sequence and route the prospect to a 1:1 task. Default disabled; flip on per sequence.

Reply detection → brief regenerate
When a prospect replies positively to a sequence step, Mama auto-regenerates the brief with the new context. The brief that the AE sees on the next touch reflects the reply, not the cold-state version.

How it looks in Outreach

A 5-step sequence with Mama's variables baked in.

This is what a typical sequence looks like once Mama is connected. Step 1 renders the signal-anchored opener from the brief automatically; step 3 is a follow-up that pulls a different angle from the same brief; the email steps all link to the brief.

What the rep sees in the step editor.

Mama exposes two merge variables on every Account: {{account.mama_brief_url}} and {{account.mama_draft_opener}}. Drop them into any email step in your sequence template.

The draft opener variable uses the 6-line signal-anchored frame from the playbook — it picks the right signal for each prospect, slots the consequence sentence, and writes a specific ask. Reps can edit before send; most don't need to.

The "task" steps in your sequence stay manual — Mama drafts the call notes and LinkedIn DM language too, but doesn't auto-execute them. Human-in-the-loop on every touch.

What's supported, what's not

The honest list of what we do and don't.

All true as of the latest /changelog entry. If something on the "doesn't" list matters to you, email [email protected] — most missing things are on the roadmap.

Mama does
All Outreach tiers — Pro, Enterprise, Sales Engagement. Galaxy add-ons not required.
Account-level merge variables in every email step. Resolves on send, not on enrollment, so the latest brief always ships.
Account tags (high / mid / low) as sequence entry rules — block low-tier auto-enrollment with one filter.
Signal-triggered sequence pauses via webhook (opt-in per sequence) — strong new signals route to a 1:1 task instead of the next cadence step.
Reply-detection → brief regenerate — when a prospect replies, the brief refreshes for the AE's next touch.
Multi-org Outreach (consultancies running multiple client Outreach orgs) — one Mama workspace per Outreach org, all billed under one Pro plan.
Outreach Insights surface — brief link renders as a clickable widget in the prospect-page sidebar.
Mama doesn't (yet)
Prospect-level merge variables. Mama scores the Account, not the individual prospect. Per-prospect angle suggestions are on the Q3 2026 roadmap.
Outreach Voice / call recording. No transcript ingest yet — when it ships, voice-of-customer signals will feed back into the brief.
Auto-execute sequence steps. Mama drafts; a human always sends. We won't auto-send for you, by design.
Outreach Meeting Assist. Calendar booking is owned by Outreach; we don't compete on that surface.
Outreach Kaia or AI insights write-back. We treat their AI as upstream; ours doesn't push into theirs.
Custom Account fields beyond tags + merge vars. If you need score-by-dimension as separate fields, that's a Q2 2026 ask we're scoping.
Your Outreach prospect data never leaves your Mama workspace. OAuth-scoped, AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, never used for training. SOC 2 Type II report under NDA. You can revoke Mama's OAuth from Outreach Settings → Integrations any time — sync stops within the next cycle.

Outreach-specific FAQ

The questions Outreach admins ask on the first call.

Pulled from launch-partner conversations. If your question isn't here, email [email protected] and we'll add it next.

Do you need to be installed from Outreach Galaxy?
No. Mama installs as a private OAuth app on your Outreach org. No Galaxy listing required, no marketplace approval. The merge variables and tags are registered via the standard Outreach API.
What scopes do you request?
Read: accounts.all, prospects.read, sequences.read. Write (opt-in): accounts.update for the tags + merge variables. Never write to sequences themselves — Mama doesn't edit your cadences.
When does the merge variable resolve?
At send time, not at enrollment. This means if Mama's brief refreshes between enrollment and send, the latest version goes out. If the brief is regenerating at the moment of send, we use the most recent stable version (no in-flight content).
How does signal-triggered pause work?
Enable it per sequence. When a signal of strength >75 fires on a prospect in that sequence, Mama POSTs a create-task to Outreach with the signal in the task description. The next sequence step is auto-skipped; the rep handles the task. Resumeable from the task.
What if the merge variable doesn't resolve (no brief yet)?
Mama blocks the send, not silently ships an empty email. The prospect stays in the sequence step until the brief is ready (usually < 5 minutes). For brand-new orgs, first-time enrollments can wait up to 4 hours for first scoring.
Does this work with Outreach's AI features (Kaia, AI Smart Email Assistant)?
Yes — they coexist. Mama supplies the upstream research (what to say, why now); Outreach AI polishes deliverability and tone on send. Most launch partners use both.
