Signal strength

One of the four dimensions in the ICP rubric — how strongly a buying signal was confirmed across independent sources. A funding round announced in a press release plus confirmed on Crunchbase plus referenced on the company's blog is high-strength; a single LinkedIn comment mentioning 'we're raising soon' is low-strength. High-strength signals deserve immediate action; low-strength signals deserve watching, not outbound. Mama scores signal strength 1-5 and surfaces only 3+ to the brief.

01Definition

TLDR
One of the four dimensions in the ICP rubric — how strongly a buying signal was confirmed across independent sources. A funding round announced in a press release plus confirmed on Crunchbase plus referenced on the company's blog is high-strength; a single LinkedIn comment mentioning 'we're raising soon' is low-strength. High-strength signals deserve immediate action; low-strength signals deserve watching, not outbound. Mama scores signal strength 1-5 and surfaces only 3+ to the brief.

02Why it matters

Acting on weak signals burns your sender reputation and wastes SDR time; acting only on strong ones protects both.

03Example

Worked example
Tech-stack change confirmed by BuiltWith + a hiring post mentioning the new tool + a public blog announcement = strength 5.
