On-demand crawl

A user-triggered crawl of a target account — used when an SDR needs fresh data on an account that's not in the standard refresh queue. Costs one credit per crawl (Pro+ tier); typically completes in 30-90 seconds. The triggers a full re-scan of the company's site, careers page, recent news, and tech stack — surfacing any signals that broke since the last scheduled crawl. Used heavily when a rep is preparing for a same-day pitch or following up on a hot lead.

01Definition

TLDR
A user-triggered crawl of a target account — used when an SDR needs fresh data on an account that's not in the standard refresh queue. Costs one credit per crawl (Pro+ tier); typically completes in 30-90 seconds. The triggers a full re-scan of the company's site, careers page, recent news, and tech stack — surfacing any signals that broke since the last scheduled crawl. Used heavily when a rep is preparing for a same-day pitch or following up on a hot lead.

02Why it matters

The escape hatch from cached data. Critical when the standard crawl cadence isn't fast enough for the deal.

03Example

Worked example
SDR has a meeting at 2pm with a prospect; at 1:15pm runs an on-demand crawl → surfaces a $50M funding round announced that morning → reframes the meeting.
